Greg Bennett - Biography
I was born and raised in Aurora, Ontario (lets just say so long ago that there were still ample open fields that a kid could ride his dirt bike around on them). Since then, I’ve lived in Calgary, Richmond Hill and finally Innisfil (actually Barrie is literally right across the road, so I spend a lot of time in both locations).I have a wife and two sons who generally make my day that much brighter.
And then there is Otis the Dog. He makes sure I don’t put food to close to the edge of the counter.
Now from a career perspective, I spent the majority of it in the Information Technology world. I’ve supported people in the aircraft industry, Oil & Gas, and financial industries. I began my days as a lowly programmer and rose up to an executive level supporting Equity Traders.
Now you might ask yourself what Information Technology has to do with Real Estate. Fair question.
Well many people may not be aware that at the end of the day, Technology is all about determining what people need and delivering it in a timely fashion. It is about sweating the details. Its about working closely with people from the first day you meet them, acting as their advocate & advisor through the complexities of the job at hand, making sure they are getting the best solution they can while ensuring they are not negatively exposed in any way. And ultimately establishing a trust relationship that they can rely on well past the conclusion of ‘the job’. This approach has been burned into my brain over the years, and I bring that perspective to Real Estate.
Included in this is ensuring my clients are well informed and prepared for the process ahead of them. It may include a briefing on the current state of the market. It may relate to structural or mechanical aspects of a home. It may relate to the financial aspects of a purchase or sale. It always relates to how I can best serve my clients.
If there is one thing I take pride in, it is that my clients are always well informed, and they can always trust that I am going to be absolutely honest with them. That honesty in my opinion always results in the best scenario for my clients. Many Agents may temper their honesty if it could impinge on their bottom line. I cannot and will not accept that. My client’s best interests are always my top priority.
